Háaleiti No. 1 is one of three rustic, simple holiday homes in the remote Eastfjords, about 12 km from Breiðdalsvík.

A beautiful place to explore the nature of the Eastfjords.

This rather simple wooden house has two bedrooms, one of which is in the attic. The interior is simple, but it has everything you need for a holiday in the countryside. The living room has a radio/TV and there is a small kitchen corner with a microwave. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet with a shower.

There is a large terrace of 40 sqm around the house. It is equipped with garden furniture and from here you can enjoy the mountain view all around or just relax in the evening sun. Parking is right in front of the house.

Breiðdalsvík is a small fishing village on the coast of East Iceland, in the Breiðdalur valley, with black-sand beaches and Tóartindur, more than 1,000 metres high, rising above it.

About 150 people live here. There's a small café, a restaurant and a self-service gas station; the nearest grocery stores are in Stöðvarfjörður and Fáskrúðsfjörður.

»The worst house of our journey. The house was loaded with flies (at least 20) The attic only had a matras and no bed. And please finish the woodwork in the attic. Everything was old and needed renovation. The heater didn’t work. Luckily is wasn’t that cold And for new guests: change your mind on renting this house. Did you rent it : the router can be found inside a lamp in the bedroom. We found it by coincidence. There is no info in the house at all«

»Pretty remote house, very old, especially kitchen is old and with very little equipment and dripping faucet. Curtains of bedroom are so thin, it was difficult to sleep with so much light. No wifi. Road to Egilstadir pretty long and mainly dirt roads. It is a beautiful area (only nature and sheep).«
