Litli-Dunhagi is located in the valley Hörgárdalur, between Akureyri, the capital of the North, and the small village Dalvík. It presents an excellent location for day trips in the whole North of Iceland, both to the Northwest and Northeast.

The three-bedroom house has an additional sleeping possibility in the living room, where there is a pull-out sofa. If you are travelling with your baby, there is a travel cot and a high chair available to you. The kitchen is well-equipped, also with a microwave, and the living room has a TV and a radio/CD. Bathroom: Shower/WC and a bathtub.

The small terrace still offers a gas grill and garden furniture, and from there you are going to enjoy the scenic farm view. A parking space is in front of the house.

Akureyri is at the base of Eyjafjörður Fjord. It is the biggest town in North Iceland with a population of ca 19.000 and is often referred to as Capital the of North. Akureyri is a center of commerce with a harbour and airport for domestic flights. You find a number of supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations here, as well as swimming pools and interesting museums and other sights.

In the center you find the Akureyri Church, built in 1940, with its stained-glass windows portraying scenes from Icelandic Christian history. The nearby Akureyri Art Museum displays contemporary art from Iceland and abroad. Close to the center are the Botanical Gardens, with specimens from all across Iceland. The Christmas house ("Jólahúsið") is a special place to visit and open all year round.

»Very big house for 7 people but it’s interior could use an update. The Floor has been redone and very easy to maintain. In the kitchen the dishwasher wasn’t working. And pots and hans in such poor condition, i ended up only using two pots. bathroom is in desperate need of an update. But the view from the house is amazing.«

»This house is very oldfashioned and could use a make over. The house is very big and is without character. It would have been nice if the house had been located on the other side of Akureyri, we had to drive almost 2 hours to see the nice things in the diamond circle. The house was clean but didnt’t have a nice smell. Nobody took a shower.«
