Skálafell is a delightful log cabin with everything you need. The house is on a slope with trees, and you will have a lot of privacy.
The location is excellent as it is close to Geysir and Gullfoss waterfalls. There is a swimming pool in Reykholt and a small shop and petrol station just 4 km away.
In the house, there are three bedrooms for up to 6 people. The kitchen has a stove and microwave and is part of the living room. There is a large couch to relax in as well as a TV / DVD and radio / CD. Bathroom with toilet/shower.
From the terrace, you have a beautiful view into the distance. There are some garden furniture and a gas grill. And you will find the almost "obligatory" Icelandic hot pot in a slightly sheltered corner next to the house. Parking is near the house.

Reykholt sits on the Golden Circle route in South Iceland, close to Geysir, Gullfoss and Skálholt. The village grew in the first half of the 20th century after geothermal activity was discovered nearby, and its greenhouses and horticultural farms still shape the area today. It has a grocery store, a gas station, a swimming pool, horse shows and greenhouse tours, with more swimming pools and golf courses in the surrounding area.
Selfoss, 30 km to the west on the banks of the Ölfusá, is the largest town in South Iceland. It has around 11,000 residents, along with shops, restaurants, supermarkets, small industry and an outdoor geothermal swimming pool.
