Háahlíð is a lovely and recently built holiday house close to Varmaland in West Iceland. From the terrace there is a stunning panoramic view.

The house has an ideal location for visiting the many historical and exciting places on Snæfellsnes peninsula and in Borgarfjörður.

This holiday house has three bedrooms and a and attic. The kitchen has all the equipment that you need for good cooking, including a dishwasher. The living room is beautifully decorated and has a Smart-TV and free WIFI. The bathroom has a WC/shower plus a washing machine and a dryer.

All around the house, there is a 86sqm terrace with a lovely hot tub, garden furniture and a gas grill. Parking place in front of the house.

Borgarnes is the nearest town, located on a peninsula at the shore of Borgarfjörður. It is the largest town in the Borgarbyggð municipality with a population of about 3800 inhabitants.

The town has restaurants, bigger supermarkets, cafés and the fascinating museum, the Settlement Center. There is also a lovely swimming pool with a steam bath, an ice bath and hot tubs.

Close by, along road nr. 1 is Baulan, a small petrol station and shop, that also has a restaurant and sells most necessities. In Borgarfjörður, you don't want to miss Reykholt, Deildartunguhver hot spring, and the lava waterfall Hraunfossar. Further deep into the fjord you will find caves around Húsafell, for example, Víðgelmir, the largest and most spectacular lava tunnel in Iceland.

»Sehr schönes und gefplegtes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Umgebung und mit tollem Blick auf die Berge. Bereits in der ersten Nacht konnten wir die Polarlichter sehen. Das Ferienhaus ist relativ modern eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet, mit Wlan, Flachbildfernseher, Waschmaschine & Trockner, großer Fensterfront im Wohn-/Essbereich, großer Terasse und einem HotPot als Highlight. Wir waren rundum Zufrieden und würden jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen.«
