Þórisdalur is in a unique location, close to one of Iceland's most beautiful areas Lón. It is close to Europe's biggest glacier Vatnajökull and only about 100km from the world-famous Glacier Lagoon Jökulsárlón. The town Höfn in Hornafjörður with all services is about 30km away.

This inviting house has three bedrooms for six people. There is a large open living area with kitchen corner. The kitchen is simple but well equipped. The living room corner has a large comfortable couch and an internet connection. Bathroom with shower/toilet.

Lón is a glacial river in south-east Iceland, framed by Eystrahorn and Vestrahorn. It is near the glacier Vatnajökull and about 100 km from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, and 30km from Höfn í Hornafirði.

Höfn is a fishing town in the southeastern part of the country, near Hornafjörður fjord, with great views of Vatnajökull glacier. It is the second largest town in the southeastern part of Iceland. You find shops, restaurants, gas station and swimming pool here. It is also a good location for day trips to the eastern fjords.

»We regret having not had the time to explore the area around the house location a bit more. Since we love pen and paper adventures, the house gave a perfect setting to feel immersed in such. Many sites are all around with which we have packed our agenda way too full. Although the house, in comparison to the others we have experienced, is a bit basic, only the garbage handling appeared a bit odd to us.«
