Djáknavegur is a big, elegant house in Úthlíð, close to Geysir. An excellent option if you want to explore the wonders of South Iceland, then you are conveniently located and the Golden Circle is within reach.

The house has three bedrooms. Two of them are one the ground floor and one of them is in the attic. Where there is also a bathroom.
A big open living room with flat screen TV and free WIFI. Modern kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave and other necessary equipment. In the bath room there is a washing machine and dryer.

On the big terrace around the house, you can enjoy the lovely view, while taking a dip in the hot tub.

The vacation house area in Úthlíð is on the Golden Circle route and only a short drive away from Geysir in south-west Iceland. The famous Geysir is one of Iceland's most famous tourist attractions, with Strokkur being the most active hot spring. It can hurl boiling water up 40 meters into the air every 6 - 10 minutes. There is a large visitor center with souvenir shop, restaurants, and a gas station. There are many activities in the area, such as horse riding, a golf course and excellent hiking paths. The mighty Gullfoss waterfall is only 10 km away.

The closest villages are Reykholt and Laugarvatn. Both have a small grocery store, restaurant and gas station.

The nearest town for bigger shopping is Selfoss 65 km away. Selfoss is the largest town in South Iceland on the banks of the Ölfusá river. The town is a centre of commerce and small industries with a population of ca 8.000. There are many shops, restaurants, supermarkets and an outdoor geothermal swimming pool.

»Upon arrival, the house was not properly cleaned. The bathroom and several interior areas showed clear signs of insufficient hygiene. The outdoor area was cluttered with tools and equipment, creating an unwelcoming first impression. The biggest issue was the hot tub, which was a main reason for booking. It was not prepared, initially cold, and contained sand, hair, and visible particles. We had to contact support multiple times and ended up heating, draining, and cleaning it ourselves before it was usable. Overall, the condition of the property did not match the expected standard.«
