Hausthús is a beautifully renovated old Icelandic townhouse in the village of Eyrarbakki.
Experience Icelandic village life in this small but very functional house that is perfect for two people. The sea is just a few steps away.
The house is modernly furnished and decorated and basically has the atmosphere of a studio apartment. There is an open bedroom on the second floor (attic). The living space consists of a living room with a small kitchenette with two hotplates and a small fridge. There is a comfortable couch that is also a sofa bed, free WiFi. Bathroom with toilet / shower.
After an eventful day you can use the gas grill on the small terrace. Take a walk through the village and enjoy the fresh air of the sea side. The water is cold, but a walk on the beach is definitely worth it. Parking next to the house.

Eyrarbakki was a significant fishing and trading place for many decades. Today only around 600 people live in this small village. You can see many old, lovely restored houses.
The village has a small shop and some restaurants. It is only 12 km from the bigger town Selfoss where there are many shops, supermarkets and an outdoor geothermal swimming pool. Eyrarbakki is also only a short drive from the small town of Hveragerði, known for its greenhouses and geothermal cultivation.
