The main settlement is Sólheimar with ca 100 inhabitants, an eco-village known for its ecological, artistic, and international community ethics. Grímsnes is a great location for excursions in South Iceland. It is on the popular Golden Circle route and from there it is only 40 km to Geysir and 50 km to Gullfoss.

Sandra»Nice house in an quiet area of private summer houses. The bedrooms are small, but in the house was everything you need, even an umbrella ;-) the hot pot was relaxing and no one could see you.«
