Heillasteinn is a charming house in old Norwegian style. The location in Hellnar, on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, is unique.

The house is located near the famous Snæfellsjökull glacier and offers a wonderful view of the glacier and over the Faxaflói bay. Snæfellsjökull National Park is only a few kilometers away, and the location is ideal for excursions and hikes around the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

The house has two floors. There are three bedrooms and a TV corner on the first floor, which can be reached via a steep staircase. The kitchen has a dishwasher and all necessary cooking equipment. A spacious living room invites you to linger. The house also has free fiber optic internet. The bathroom has a shower/toilet and there is also a washing machine on the ground floor.

From the small veranda behind the house, you can enjoy an uninterrupted view of one of Iceland's most beautiful glaciers while you drink your morning coffee or a glass of wine in peace in the evening. Parking space next to the house.

Hellnar is a former fishing village, located just below the lovely glacier Snæfellsjökull. The French author Jules Verne made this glacier famous in his book "Journey to the Center of the Earth".

In Hellnar there is a small cafe and a hotel. The village Arnarstapi is within walking distance, and there is a delightful, easy walk along the shore to reach this small community. When staying in Hellnar you should drive up to the glacier. The Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge is also close by as well as the cave Sönghellir, known for its echoes.

»What more can you expect than the ocean in front and the glacier behind the house. The location is awesome and the house perfect. The coastal path to Arnarstapi is wonderful, the Café nearby a cosy, warm place with delicious food and hot chocolate. The F570 over the hills is thrilling and amazing, the Djúpalónssandur simply a must and there is much more to be seen and to do. We were lucky to see northern lights and arctic foxes. We had a great time in the house and all around that place.«
