Enjoy this beautiful, classic Icelandic summerhouse, in the West Iceland region not far from Borgarnes. Were there are shopping facilities, gas stations and restaurants. If you want to explore the wonders of West Iceland, then you are conveniently located.

Skálholt has two bedrooms. The kitchen that has a dishwasher and all the equipment needed for cooking. The dining area is a part of the living room. There you will find a flat screen TV and free WIFI. In the bathroom there is a WC/shower.

The large terrace that has both garden furniture and gas grill goes along two sides of the house, from which there is access to the hot tub area.

Parking is below the house.

Borgarnes is the nearest town, on a peninsula by Borgarfjörður. It is the largest town in the municipality of Borgarbyggð, with around 3,800 residents.

The town has restaurants, larger supermarkets, cafés, the Settlement Centre and a swimming pool with a steam bath, an ice bath and hot tubs.

Nearby on Route 1 is Baulan, a small petrol station and shop with a restaurant and basic groceries. Other places to visit in Borgarfjörður include Reykholt, Deildartunguhver and Hraunfossar. Further inland, around Húsafell, there are several caves, including Víðgelmir, one of Iceland's largest lava tubes.
