In Borgarfjörður, you don't want to miss Reykholt, Deildartunguhver hot spring, and the lava waterfall Hraunfossar. Further deep into the fjord you will find caves around Húsafell, for example, Víðgelmir, the largest and most spectacular lava tunnel in Iceland.

Geert Popkema»Het was een prima huis met een schitterend uitzicht. Rondom het huis was het wat rommelig, waarschijnlijk door verbouw werkzaamheden. Daar was binnenshuis niks van te merken. De bbq hebben we niet gebruikt omdat deze op een ongezellige plaats stond. Een fijne accommodatie. Jammer dat we het afval niet ergens in de directe omgeving kwijt konden. Boodschappen doen moet je inplannen want dat doe je niet dichtbij, best wel een beetje lastig.«
