In the next fjord lies one of the area’s well-known seal colonies, along with the historic turf house café Litlibær (“The Little Farm”), where you can step back in time while enjoying homemade refreshments.
At Reykjanes, you’ll find a hotel and a rustic geothermal outdoor pool — home to what is often called Iceland’s largest natural hot pot.
The nearby farm Heydalur, now a welcoming countryside hotel, offers horse rentals, a restaurant, and a unique swimming pool inside a greenhouse fed by natural hot springs.
