Björk is a charming house with a wonderful view of the picturesque valley of Fnjóskadalur, just 25 minutes drive from Akureyri.

The house is lovingly maintained and offers all the necessary comforts you need for an Iceland holiday.

The house can accommodate five people. One bedroom is on the ground floor, and upstairs there is an open space with three beds, which is reached via a steep staircase. The kitchen has a microwave and all the necessary appliances for cooking. The bright living room has a fireplace, which is perfect for those cold winter days when you want to warm up. There is also a TV in the living room, as well as a radio/CD. Bathroom with toilet and a shower.

The large terrace has garden furniture and a gas grill, as well as a hot pot and an outdoor shower. Is there anything better than relaxing in the evening sun in the warm water of the hot tub while dinner is waiting on the grill? This house is ideal for a relaxed Iceland adventure holiday. Parking is right next to the house.

Fnjóskadalur is a picturesque valley with camping sites and cottage. At the bottom of the valley, at Illugastaðir, you will find a tourist centre with a small shop and a swimming pool, both only open during the summer months.

Vaglaskógur is the second largest forest in Iceland and invites you to undertake various hiking tours in this beautiful area. Nearby bigger towns are Akureyri and Húsavík.

Akureyri is only 15 km west of Fnjóskadalur. It is at the base of Eyjafjörður Fjord and the biggest town in North Iceland with a population of ca 19.000. Akureyri is a center of commerce with a harbour and airport for domestic flights. You find a number of supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations here, as well as swimming pools and interesting museums and other sights.

»This house is located in a valley with other holliday homes. The decor is functional. The beds were good. It's location is a plus. Husavik and the Mývatn area are a 1 hr drive away. Akureyri is a nice little town with some museums that are worth a visit. Don't take the toll tunnel, take the longer way round for the views (and save yourself some money). The house has a bedroom with a double bed and 3 single beds upstairs. Its a bit if a steep climb to get up there, but we managed. The bathroom is very small and functional. The water nice and hot. The deck outside is a really nice space to hang out when the weather permits.«
