The impressive view of Akureyri and the fjord Eyjafjörður adds a reason to stay in this house. The house is with lovely decoration in modern style. An excellent location for excursions in the North, close to the ski area, where it is nice to hike during summer.

In the house, there are three bedrooms, all on the same level. The kitchen is well equipped and has a dishwasher and a microwave. The living room opens into the kitchen, and it has a TV. The bathroom has a shower, WC, washing machine and a dryer. There is also a guest WC in the house.

From the house, you have a magnificent view of Akureyri, and the scenic Fjord Eyjafjörður, also from the hot tub, which is located inside, but you can open a big door to have the feeling of being outside. You can enjoy a delicious meal outside on the terrace, cooked on the gas grill.

Akureyri sits at the end of Eyjafjörður and, with about 20,000 residents, is the largest town in North Iceland. It’s often called the “Capital of the North” and is the region’s centre for commerce and services, with a harbour and a domestic airport. There are supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations, swimming pools, and museums.

Akureyri Church, in the town centre, was built in 1940; its stained-glass windows depict scenes from Icelandic Christian history. The nearby Akureyri Art Museum displays contemporary art from Iceland and abroad. The Botanical Garden, also close to the town centre, features plants from all over Iceland. The Christmas House, Jólahúsið, is open year-round.
