Merki is an old and newly renovated farmhouse near a working farm. It stands in front of a small mountain, in the beautiful valley Fnjóskadalur
It is near the second largest forest, Vaglaskógur. It is therefore centrally located for excursions in the Northeast of Iceland. Among the fascinating attractions are the Dettifoss waterfall and the Nationalpark Ásbyrgi. Lake Mývatn is only just 40 minutes away.
The house has two bedrooms; one of them has a door curtain. There is a small kitchen with a seating area. The living room has a TV, Radio/CD, DVD and a fibre-optic internet connection only to be used for browsing. Bathroom: Shower/WC.
The terrace has a gas grill and garden furniture, from which you can enjoy a nice cup of morning coffee and the splendid, unrestricted view into all directions.

You find a number of supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations here, as well as swimming pools and interesting museums and other sights.
