If you stay in this comfortable house right by the sea and not far from Skógarfoss, you can also visit the oldest pool in Iceland, Seljavallalaug. From the house you have a breathtaking mountain and sea view.

This modern and bright house has two bedrooms. The kitchen has a microwave and dishwasher. The dining area is part of the living room. There is a TV, radio and free fiber-optic internet connection/WIFI. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet / shower and there is also a washing machine.

Fljótshlíð is the home of the Iceland Saga characters, Njáll and Gunnar, two rivalling Vikings. The village of Hvolsvöllur, along road nr. 1, has a gas station, a coffee house and a small supermarket, as well as a swimming pool. You can also find the Lava Center and the Saga Center with its unique Njáls Saga exhibition in Hvolsvöllur that tells the story of the vikings.

There is also Gljúfrabúi waterfall in the area. This is a lovely smaller waterfall hidden in a small gorge.

Hvolsvöllur and Hella, 2 small towns, also along road nr. 1. Here you find all basic services such as a bigger supermarket, gas station, restaurants, golf course, swimming pool and a health center.

»The house was hard to find, even by scanning QR code (google maps). The location is awesome! We loved it! Being in the living room and having a view in all cardinal directions was amazing! The first night was cold, we didn't find the heating. When we found the heating, we had no idea what we changed, because there was no English label. Some of the windows were not able to be opened, for example kids room. The shower has no shower curtain. It would be kind, if the pillows in the parents bedroom would be exchanged, because they are yellow.«

»Absolut gorgeous house with a perfekt panorama view out of each single window to the sea, river and glacier Eyjafjallajökull. A romantic place with a small black sand beach, no neighbours. Two bedrooms, a nice opened kitchen - living room. Free W-lan and a small bathroom. Everything there, you need. Absolute clean. A natural hot spring bath 10 min driving away. 10 Min to Skogafalls, 30 min to Vik. One of the best places you can be !«
