Klettsflöt holiday home has an excellent location for day trips in West Iceland. Inside a small forest, it invites you for walks in the surrounding nature. Being in summerhouse area Húsafell you have a small shop in your vicinity, including a lovely swimming pool with hot tubs.
The two-bedroom house has a well-equipped kitchen with a microwave it is open into a living area with a couch and a TV, plus a radio. Please note that you have to walk through one bedroom to go to the other one and that room is closed with a curtain.
By one side of the house there is a small terrace with a hot tub, some garden furniture and a gas grill. Close to the house there is a small playground for children. There is a parking place in front of the house.

Húsafell is a sprawling farm and church estate and the former site of a rectory. It is the innermost farm in Borgarfjörður, not far from Reykholt and Reykholtsdalur. The former farm Húsafell now serves as a hub of service for travellers and tourists staying in the area. There is a hotel with restaurant, a golf course and swimming pool. Nature here is diverse and beautiful and everything from dense woodlands, to waterfalls, glaciers, and rugged lava fields can be found.
In the area are also a lot of caves. Only a short drive away is Víðgelmir, the largest and most spectacular lava tunnel found in Iceland. Cave exploration tours are offered for visitors.
The fjord of Borgarfjörður is known for the hot spring Deildartunguhver and the lava waterfall Hraunfossar. The next bigger town is Borgarnes with supermarkets, bakery, gas station, swimming pool and and the Settlement Center with an excellent exhibition about the first settlers of Iceland.

Josephine van Doorn»A very basic holiday home. That’s about it. Neighbours nearby, not that they made noise. Couldn’t get the hot tub working because the instructions were to complicated. And the sleeping places at the loft were unsuitable if you’re a tall person, very low ceiling.«
