The house sleeps max five people in three bedrooms, one also with a baby cot. The kitchen is basic but homely with excellent facilities for preparing your meals. There is also a microwave. The living room reminds of the old days with its old cupboard and wall decoration but also has a TV, WIFI, and radio/CD. In the bathroom, with WC/shower, you find a washing machine.
The big terrace offers beside a fantastic view over the Borgarfjörður area a grill and garden furniture. Sit in one of the chairs or enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot tub while taking in the picturesque view.

Borgarnes is the nearest town, located on a peninsula at the shore of Borgarfjörður. It is the largest town in the Borgarbyggð municipality with a population of about 3800 inhabitants.
The town has restaurants, bigger supermarkets, cafés and the fascinating museum, the Settlement Center. There is also a lovely swimming pool with a steam bath, an ice bath and hot tubs.
Close by, along road nr. 1 is Baulan, a small petrol station and shop, that also has a restaurant and sells most necessities. In Borgarfjörður, you don't want to miss Reykholt, Deildartunguhver hot spring, and the lava waterfall Hraunfossar. Further deep into the fjord you will find caves around Húsafell, for example, Víðgelmir, the largest and most spectacular lava tunnel in Iceland.
